Ferrari is celebrating 60 years of selling its cars in the American market by launching a special edition vehicle called the F60 America. The F60 is essentially an open-top F12 Berlinetta that has a few styling modifications and also takes inspiration from the 1967 275 GTS-4 NART, another special edition model developed exclusively for North America. The F60 America’s personality is instantly clear from its flanks, which are characterised by an innovative design theme and the body now wears the North American Racing Team livery with 60th anniversary prancing horse badges on the wheel arches. The drivetrain is the same 6262cc V12 naturally aspirated engine found in the F12, and develops 740bhp and 690 Nm of torque that is channeled to the rear wheels via a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. Only 10 units of the F60 will be sold at a price of $2.5 million (`15.3crores), and despite the astronomical price tag, evidently all of them have already been accounted for.
