C-HR Previews Toyota’s Future

Toyota says its new hybrid crossover concept “gives an early hint of a kind of vehicle we would like to bring to market”. The C-HR, which has flared wheel arches, angular rear shoulders and ‘floating’ tail light clusters and is revealed here ahead of its Paris show debut, also previews the manufacturer’s future design themes.

Toyota said: “The C-HR introduces an expressive new design approach with a diamond styling theme. Beneath the flowing cabin profile, the lower bodywork has been sculpted to create faceted surfaces, like the precision cutting of a gemstone.”A production version of the Auris-sized C-HR would sit below the RAV4 crossover and could make production in 2017.
