Audi Q3 Dynamic
On the move, the Q 3 Dynamic, when slotted into Comfort, feels nice and light, the ideal mode for driving in city traffic. In Dynamic mode, the steering weights up and is more suited to highway-speed driving. The same applies to the suspension in the respective modes. Comfort mode allows more travel from the suspension, which makes driving over undulations bearable, while things stiffen up a bit in Dynamic, which is how it should be when you are picking up the pace.
In the Auto mode, as you’d have guessed, the car figures out things for itself and does everything for you automatically, based on the speed you are driving and the enthusiasm you exhibited behind the wheel.
What visually sets the new Dynamic variant apart from the rest of the variants are the strips of chrome on the front end of the car and the exhaust tips, along with a couple of optional extras that now come as standard fitment: among them, a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch wheels and clear lens tail-lamps.
On the inside, the Q3 Dynamic is pretty much the same as the High Grade’s level of trim and houses features such as light and rain sensors, electrically adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, a 5.8-inch infotainment system with sat-nav, cruise control, six airbags, stability assist and parking sensors (no reverse camera). The Q3 Dynamic is offered only with the 177 bhp and 380 Nm-producing 2 . 0 -litre 4 -pot TDI motor under the hood. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Power is sent to all four wheels via the Audi Quattro system.
This new top-of-the-line Q3, priced at `38 . 40 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), has the firepower to get moneyed, young buyers interested, and also give some serious competition to the recently-launched GLA from Mercedes-Benz.
