Not so. Under the skin, the revisions are wholesale, and include a part-carbon chassis, adaptive dampers and stability control and a new dual -clutch gearbox. All of this moves the baby Lamborghini right to the cutting edge of supercar ability, while the interi or gets a radical overhaul, with hexagonal-themed switches and clear TFT screens.
The direct-injection Vl O barks into life, while a flick of the left paddle engages first gear. Select Strada mode using the red switch on the bottom of the steering wheel, and the Huracan is surprisingly docile around town, but switch to Sport and the car comes alive.
Direct steering and a sharp throttle mean you have to have your wits about you, but at l east four-wheel drive means you can get the power down easily. The new twin-clutch, seven-speed gearbox is a revelation, providing seamless shifts, whi le downchanges are accompanied by an addictive pop and crackle from the exhaust.
Standard carbon ceramic disc brakes do a good job of scrubbing o ff speed, although you'll find the Huracan tends towards understeer more than rivals like the Ferrari 458 and Mclaren 650S. However, it's arguable that neither of those cars can turn as many heads as the new Lambo - its angular lines and low roofline never fail to catch the eye.
